Introduction

I began playing Brown Dust 2 in early April 2024 (according to my daily login achievement, that puts me at April 2, but the banner/powder shop offerings at the time put me at April 11 since Game Club Rafina was not on banner. I don't remember Teresse having a character pass, but I do remember Elpis having one). I'm almost entirely F2P (I bought the 3-day mega sale pack and an infinite roll with 3 costumes). I had probably the crappiest start to my account (Justia from infinite roll, terrible banners, not getting Kry's default costume until quite late in the story). The only good luck I had early on was getting Maid Name R Liatris off-banner and Game Club Rafina from the powder shop. These +0 costumes got me through most of the story on normal difficulty (Black Feather was the newest story pack).

I started writing these guides because I got tired of seeing the same questions and answers exchanged. When it came to team building, the answers tended to be too terse and rarely taught the asker how to make their own.
