Selective Draw Recommendations
This guide was originally written when you could only pick 6 costumes, so this list is rather abbreviated.
The old selective draw banner let you pick 6 costumes you wanted, but you only had a 50/50 chance of getting them when a 5* shows up. The new one lets you pick 12 costumes, but only your selected 5*s will appear.

I have most of the important costumes at +4 or +5, so I'm boosting costumes with low upgrades.
Supports are always the safest choices, since the list will only grow to include new costumes without replacing anyone, but you will need more copies to make some of them useful. In the past, the highest value supports went on rerun every 6 months (Anniversary in June, Half Anniversary in December), but this did not happen in June 2025 due to the implementation of the Recommended 5* Costume Selective Ticket and the improved selective draw banner.

These are are the most widely used supports. The first row is non-negotiable, you want them no matter what kind of PvE content you're doing. The second row is made up of costumes that will see heavy use in Fiend Hunt and Guild Raid. Refer to this in-depth guide on supports for more information.
Damage costumes, on the other hand, are volatile due to power creep. If there's a new costume on banner, drawing on it will usually be your best bet to get you established in the game. If you're not sure, compare them to the costumes listed below. These were chosen because they're either useful with just the one costume or one of that character's other costumes can be obtained by recruiting with a contract, so they'll tide you over until the next strong damage costume comes up on banner. You can also refer to this in-depth guide on the most general-purpose damage characters.
Type | Portrait | Character | Costume | Purpose | Min | -1SP | Ideal | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Supports | Min | -1SP | Ideal | |||||
Universal | ![]() |
Diana | Adventurer of the Unknown | Buff property damage | +0 | +3 | +5 | The most valuable 5* support when you have elemental advantage. It's better to give her upgrades and continue using Arines/Elpis than neglect her in favor of Lathel/Liberta/Helena. Pub recruitable. |
Physical | ![]() |
Lathel | Homunculus | Buff ATK | +1 | +3 | +5 | The highest ATK buff in the game, but only for the first 2 turns. For the remaining turns, the potency is reduced to about half. Requires +1 to be at least as good as Arines for the remaining turns. Buff can be kept up full time at +5. |
Physical | ![]() |
Liberta | Dark Saintess | Buff ATK + crit rate | +2 | +1 | +5 | Requires +2 and potentials to be better than Arines. 50% crit rate at +3. Pub recruitable. Her Onsen Manager costume is also quite valuable, definitely worth having a single copy of for Last Night, but lower in priority than the other support costumes listed here. |
Magic | ![]() |
Helena | B-Rank Idol | Buff Magic ATK + crit rate | +2 | +3 | +5 | Requires +2 and potentials to be better than Elpis. 50% crit rate at +5. Top Idol is a good complementary costume and is pub recruitable. |
Physical | ![]() |
Rafina | Game Club | Chains + Physical Vulnerability | +0 | +1 | +4 | Vulnerability potency increases at +2 and +4. Her pub recruitable costume is not used much outside of Fiend Hunt/Guild Raid and Tower of Pride 3F. |
Magic | ![]() |
Levia | Track and Field Captain | Chains + Magic Vulnerability | +0 | +1 | +4 | The main target receives a stronger vulnerability debuff. Vulnerability potency increases at +2 and +4. Night of Jealousy is a good complementary costume and is pub recruitable. |
Magic | ![]() |
Celia | Descendant of the Great Witch | Chains | +0 | +3 | +3 | An evaluable chainer for Fiend Hunt/Guild Raid when combined with her pub recruitable costume: The Curse. Without her limited costume, Masquerade Bunny, you'll need to get the cooldown potentials on both non-limited costumes to maximize her usefulness. |
Universal | ![]() |
Refithea | Pure White Blessing | Buff property damage + chain bonus | +0 | +1 | +5 | The Gluttonus is a good complementary costume and is pub recruitable. |
Universal | ![]() |
Zenith | Robin Hood | Chains + Concentrated Fire + Vulnerability | +0 | +3 | +3 | Upgrade to the 3* Rigenette. Concentrated fire is a taunt effect that helps characters reach enemies they wouldn't normally be able to, either by positioning or their targeting type (eg. since Zenith is a Skip/Vault, she can help Very Front attackers like Sacred Justia skip to increase their range). Costs 0SP at +3 with potentials. |
Damage | Min | -1SP | Ideal | |||||
Physical | ![]() |
Sacred Justia | Reclaimed Destiny | Raw Damage | +1 | +1 | +5 | Damage increases the more enemies she hits. Her high SP cost can make her difficult to use at +0. Can be used every turn at +4. |
Physical | ![]() |
Blade | Young Lady | Chains + Physical Vulnerability | +0 | +1 | +5 | The vulnerability is only for the main target. Apostle is a strong secondary costume and is pub recruitable. |
Magic | ![]() |
Loen | Last Hope | Raw damage | +0 | -- | +5 | Her damage and 3 turn cooldown makes her useful even without her other costumes. Very similar to Maid Name R Liatris, but without a conditional. |
Magic | ![]() |
Venaka | DJ | Magic RES reduction | +0 | +1 | +5 | Both of her costumes are excellent, so it's hard to say which one is more valuable. Wind Dancer is pub recruitable, so DJ is the selective draw pick. |
Magic | ![]() |
Morpeah | Beach Vacation | Summons 2 units that can self-destruct | +0 | -- | +5 | Her damage isn't spectacular, but she offers a lot of utility. Her pub recruitable costume increases the damage her summons do and applies concentrated fire to the main target. Her free Daydream Bunny costume is less useful, but is occasionally used in FH/GR. |
